Granola?

I think Justin has become a granola in his old age. These are the reasons:
  • He shops at REI exclusively
  • He is making his own compost in our backyard
  • He is super excited about composting
  • He uses terms like renewable resource
  • He buys socks made from wool because wool is a renewable resource
  • He owns antibacterial underwear
  • He would rather backpack in remote areas of Wyoming than go to the beach
  • We have to borrow the neighbors empty recycle bin to fit all of our recyclables
  • He owns more lightweight backpacking gear than he knows what to with
  • He is excited about compost!!!
  • After reading this post, he gave me more reasons on why he is such a granola!

Easter

We had a quiet Easter this year. The Easter bunny hid eggs inside thanks to mother nature, but Kate had a great time finding them. Leah was just happy to be there, as usual!

Our masterpiece eggs, Kate had dyed hands for days

Happy Leah

Kate, so excited to find money in her egg

Showing off her loot
PS, how lame are we? Christmas PJ's on Easter and
leftover braid hair from the day before!

Fundraiser

You might remember a few weeks ago when I told you about Chase. We are working on a fundraiser for his family and need some help. If you are creative (or connected) and what to donate some of your goods for the boutique or auction, please let me know! We need all the help we can get. More details to come as we work out the details....

Turtle

Leah is 6 1/2 months old and 17 pounds. She is big and round and hates tummy time passionately. She would just lay there and cry. We called her our turtle because she would get stuck on her tummy and not move. This was a personal embarrassment because I spend a lot of time at work helping children meet their developmental milestones on time! Last week, she finally did it. I really thought she wasn't ever going to do it, so I am so proud she is not part turtle!!
